Following the groundbreaking RoboMaster S1, the RoboMaster EP takes learning to the next level. 

This educational robot offers programming and AI to any classroom. It also brings the official DJI Software Development Kit (SDK), expandable software and hardware, a custom curriculum, and the all-new RoboMaster Youth Tournament. Simply put, the RoboMaster EP is an unrivaled educational tool for students and educators. Multiple Platform Support and Two Programming Languages. The RoboMaster app is compatible with the RoboMaster EP and multiple operating systems, including iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac, making it the perfect tool for a wide range of teaching scenarios. The EP supports two programming languages, Scratch 3.0 and Python 3.6, delivering the fun of programming to beginners and experts alike.

What are the differences between EP and EP Core?

ROBOMASTER EP has two versions, engineer version and warrior version (sharing one base wheels). 

ROBOMASTER EP Core just has engineer version. 

Can Robomaster EP Core be upgraded to Robomaster EP?

No, EP Core can not be upgraded to EP, cause there is no single warrior version accessories.

What are the differences between Robomaster S1 and Robomaster EP?

1.EP belongs to educational product, it’s a professional teaching tool.

while S1 belongs to consumer product, it just a toy and just for fun.

2.EP has opened the official SDK, which can obtain sensor modules, video and audio stream data, and more AI applications can be realized, such as autonomous obstacle avoidance, image recognition and speech recognition and control, etc.

While S1 uses 6 AI modules including lines, visual signs, pedestrians, applause, character poses and S1 robot recognition, you can experience and learn AI gameplay such as self-driving entry at home.

3.EP supports DIY, can be expanded with Lego and also can be connected to various sensors, such as temperature, pressure, and distance measurement, etc. EP support two programming languages, Scratch 3.0 and Python 3.6, delivering the fun of programming to beginners and experts alike. Therefore, it’s the best choice for competition.

The procedure for S1 is fixed, it is unable to program, and cannot attend the RoboMaster Youth Tournament.

Increased Expandability

A customizable extension platform allows students to build and expand the EP any way they choose. The EP is also compatible with building blocks, providing even more ways to learn and have fun.


Compatible Third-Party Hardware

The RoboMaster EP supports third-party open-source hardware such as Micro:bit, Arduino, and Raspberry Pi. These items can be connected and powered via serial ports on the main controller of the chassis. The EP can also perform model training and scene recognition through AI platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson Nano and the official DJI SDK, enhancing students’ understandings of the operating principles of AI.


Compatible with Third-Party Sensors

The RoboMaster EP is equipped with four sensor adaptors, making it convenient to connect and power third-party sensors that measure inputs such as temperature, pressure, distance, and more. Sensory data can even be used in Scratch, unlocking endless programming possibilities.



The Gripper transforms the EP into a powerful chassis with multiple functions. A convenient structural design and adjustable gripping force empower it to firmly and reliably grasp  and move objects of various shapes, weights, and sizes.

The EP’s Robotic Arm is incredibly durable, yet compact and flexible. It supports precise FPV control, allowing students to complete tasks even when the target objects are out of sight.


High-Performance Servo

As a propulsion driver for the RoboMaster EP, the servo supports customized control abilities through the EP’s main control board. It ensures minimal gear backlash, high control accuracy, and large output torque. It can also power the Robotic Arm and support DC gear motor mode, allowing students to build lifting structures using their knowledge of physics.


Sensor Adaptor & Power Connector Module

Each sensor adaptor has two sensor ports and provides power supply. A power connector module can connect and power third-party hardware, offering multiple ports to connect hardware and create custom programs and applications.


Infrared Distance Sensor

With a measurement range of 0.1-10 meters, the infrared distance sensor accurately measures within a 5% margin of error. The addition of programmable modules in Scratch also provides reliable distance measurement information. This enables the EP to sense its environment and avoid obstacles, deepening students’ understanding of advanced autonomous driving principles.







Robomaster EP has two or more configurations, they share the same base wheels.  Robomaster EP can be equipped into Robomaster Warrior and Robomaster Engineering (namely Robomster EP Core) or more by your own.

The graphical programming platform adds interfaces to accessories such as expansion mechanisms, sensors, and transfer modules, and has the chassis serial communication function to support communication with robotic arms, robotic grippers, infrared transmitters, infrared depth sensors, and third-party open source hardware platforms.

The RoboMaster app is now compatible with RoboMaster EP and can be used on multiple platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac to meet the needs of different teaching scenarios.
